{Sweet Kiddos} Banks, Mary Vander, & Norton ~ Montgomery, Alabama Children’s Photographer

These are some of my favorite kiddos – they are simply precious and have the best parents who are just crazy about each other.  We had a fun photo shoot today…it was warm, but the children were very patient and hung in there with me!  I want you to notice their eyes…I did absolutely no enhancing any of them.  They’re just that beautiful!

A New Blog-Site

Well…the more things change, the more they remain the same.  Or something like that.  I’m still the same, but I’ve decided to work on a bit of visual change for my blogsite. I am taking an opportunity to revamp a bit!   I’ve been contemplating a change for a little while, but have been intimidated by taking on the process all by myself.  As it ends up, it actually has been pretty fun!  I’ll be posting to this site from now on…same me, same address, just a different look!

If you want to see some of my previous work, I have added a few blog posts below this one
~ or you can visit my old blog-site and take a look around.

And…if you like what you see and want to know more, or if you want to actually book a portrait session, just give me a call or shoot me an email via the contact form on this page.

I leave you this evening with a recent photo of my little one…we had taken some pictures at the beach and, by this time, he was ready to be done with photos and heading to the pool for an evening swim.  Can you tell?

Quiet Morning on the Beach

We went to the beach last week…had a great time! The first morning, my little guy got in bed with us at 5:00 and, after trying to go back to sleep, finally sat up and whispered, “Mama…I want to go to the beach.” I encouraged him to go back to sleep but knew that he wouldn’t – and after not much time, I realized that I wouldn’t be going back to sleep either.

So I rolled over, told my husband that we were going down to the beach if he wanted to join us. Being the respecter of sleep that he is…he declined. I knew the sunrise would provide phenomenal light, so I grabbed my camera on the way out the door.

For about an hour, we had the beach totally to ourselves…and I was able to take advantage of that and get some photos while he played. We both got to do what we loved, while enjoying the solitude and beauty of God’s creation!

{With Child} Matthew & April ~ Montgomery, Alabama Maternity Photographer

I’d like to introduce you to Matthew and April.

They are a fun couple that – since we moved to the Montgomery area – have become good friends of ours. They are expecting their first child in less than a month (!) and I was honored to shoot April’s maternity portraits before the baby makes his formal appearance. I had a really difficult time choosing the photos to post here (because they’re all my favorites!) so I’m going to go all out (as usual) and post the most narrowed down collection I could create.

I hope you enjoy looking at these..even half as much as I enjoyed shooting them!

{Bridal} Sarah…My Sister ~ Montgomery, Alabama Bridal Photographer

A little more than a month ago, I teased you with a couple “nondescript” shots from my sister’s bridal portrait session…with the promise that I would actually post photos once the wedding was overwith and I wouldn’t have to worry that her (then) fiance might see them.

Well, their wedding weekend came and went this past weekend (and it was definitely an intimate, very beautiful ceremony), so I wanted to take a moment to share a few of my favorites from her portrait collection.

I know…some might say I’m biased, but I say I’m not.  She’s beautiful – both inside and out!
